Ingredients

- (2 cups) rolled oats
- (4 cups) water
- (1) medium carrot, grated
- (2) ripe bananas, mashed
- (1/2 teaspoons) cinnamon
- (1/4 teaspoons) salt
- (1 tablespoon) honey (optional)
- (1/2 cups) milk (dairy or non-dairy)
- (1/4 cups) chopped walnuts (optional)
- Fresh fruit for topping (e.g., sliced bananas, berries)
Instructions

In a large pot, bring 4 cups of water to a boil.

Add 2 cups of rolled oats, 1/4 teaspoon salt, and 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon to the boiling water.

Reduce heat to medium and cook for 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the oats are soft and have absorbed most of the water.

Stir in 1 medium grated carrot and 2 ripe mashed bananas into the oatmeal.

Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until everything is heated through and well combined.

If desired, sweeten with 1 tablespoon of honey and stir in 1/2 cup of milk for creaminess.
