Product focus
What ByteRecipes is built for
ByteRecipes is a focused cooking product, not a social publishing platform. The public recipe library is made of ByteRecipes-generated recipes. Your personal recipes, imports, and edited copies stay private to your account.
The goal is simple: help you find reliable recipe ideas, save the ones you trust, adapt them privately when needed, plan the week, and turn meals into a clean shopping list without ad clutter.
Public vs. private

Planning and AI
Where Miso fits
Miso is ByteRecipes' cooking assistant for recipe ideas, cooking questions, meal planning, shopping help, preferences, nutrition check-ins, and account actions. It is designed to work with the recipes and planners already in ByteRecipes.
When Miso suggests changes that affect your account, planner, or shopping list, it should confirm the change before updating anything. The goal is useful help without turning the product into an unpredictable automation layer.
Built for everyday planning
Standards
Quality, moderation, and safety
The public catalog is generated and maintained by ByteRecipes. We use moderation tools, duplicate checks, review flows, and reporting tools to improve catalog quality. Private user recipes are not published into the public library.
Recipe and Miso content can still be wrong or incomplete. Use judgment when it comes to allergies, food handling, ingredient substitutions, nutrition, and cook times. If you find public content that is inaccurate, unsafe, spammy, or clearly low quality, use the flagging tools on the recipe page or contact us directly so it can be reviewed.
