- (3/4 lb) collard greens, cleaned and chopped
- (2 3/4 cups) vegetable broth
- (1/2) onion, diced
- (1 clove) garlic, minced
- (1/4 tsp) black pepper
- (3/4 tsp) salt
- (1 1/4 tbsp) olive oil
- (3/4 tbsp) apple cider vinegar
- (3/4) smoked ham hock (optional)

In the slow cooker, combine (3/4 lb) collard greens, (2 3/4 cups) vegetable broth, (3/4) diced onion, and (1 cloves) minced garlic.

Sprinkle in, (1/4 tsp) black pepper, and (3/4 tsp) salt into the mixture.

Drizzle (1 1/4 tbsp) olive oil over the top and stir everything together until well combined.

If using, add (3/4) smoked ham hock to infuse the greens with flavor.

Cover the slow cooker and cook on low for 6-8 hours or on high for 3-4 hours, until greens are tender.
