Sloppy Joes

Ingredients

- (1 lb) ground beef
- (1/2 cups) onion, finely chopped
- (1/2 cups) green bell pepper, finely chopped
- (1 cup) ketchup
- (1/4 cups) brown sugar
- (1 tablespoon) Worcestershire sauce
- (1 teaspoon) mustard
- (1/2 teaspoons) garlic powder
- (1/2 teaspoons) salt
- (1/4 teaspoons) black pepper
- (4) hamburger buns

In a large skillet over medium heat, brown 1 lb ground beef until fully cooked, breaking it apart as it cooks.

Add 1/2 cup finely chopped onion and 1/2 cup finely chopped green bell pepper to the skillet. Cook for about 5 minutes until the vegetables are softened.

Stir in 1 cup ketchup, 1/4 cup brown sugar, 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce, 1 teaspoon mustard, 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder, 1/2 teaspoon salt, and 1/4 teaspoon black pepper. Mix well to combine.

Reduce heat to low and let the mixture simmer for 15-20 minutes, stirring occasionally, until thickened.
