Ingredients
Yields 4 servings
- (4) large croissants
- (4) large eggs
- (1/2 cups) shredded cheddar cheese
- (4 slices) cooked ham (or 1 cup sautéed spinach for a vegetarian option)
- (1/4 cups) milk
- (1/2 teaspoons) salt
- (1/4 teaspoons) black pepper
- (1 tablespoon) butter
- (1/4 teaspoons) garlic powder (optional)
Instructions
- 1
Preheat the oven to 350°F (175 °C).
- 2
In a bowl, whisk together 4 large eggs, 1/4 cup milk, 1/2 teaspoon salt, 1/4 teaspoon black pepper, and 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder (if using).
- 3
In a skillet, melt 1 tablespoon butter over medium heat. Pour in the egg mixture and cook, stirring gently, until the eggs are scrambled and just set, about 3-4 minutes.
- 4
Slice each croissant in half horizontally. Place the bottom halves on a baking sheet.
- 5
On each croissant bottom, layer 1 slice of cooked ham (or 1/4 cup sautéed spinach), followed by an even distribution of scrambled eggs, and top with 2 tablespoons shredded cheddar cheese.
- 6
Place the croissant tops on each sandwich and bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and the croissants are warm.
- 7
Remove from the oven, let cool slightly, and serve warm.
