Meatloaf

Ingredients

- (1 lb) ground beef
- (1/2 lb) ground pork
- (1 cup) breadcrumbs
- (1/2 cups) milk
- (1/2 cups) onion, finely chopped
- (1/4 cups) ketchup
- (2) large eggs
- (2 cloves) garlic, minced
- (1 tsp) Worcestershire sauce
- (1 tsp) salt
- (1/2 tsp) black pepper
- (1/2 tsp) dried thyme
- (1/2 tsp) dried oregano
- (1/4 cups) ketchup (for topping)

Preheat the oven to 350°F (175 °C).

In a large mixing bowl, combine 1 lb ground beef and 1/2 lb ground pork.

Add 1 cup breadcrumbs, 1/2 cup milk, and 1/2 cup finely chopped onion to the meat mixture.

In a separate bowl, mix together 1/4 cup ketchup, 2 large eggs, 2 minced garlic cloves, 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce, 1 tsp salt, 1/2 tsp black pepper, 1/2 tsp dried thyme, and 1/2 tsp dried oregano.

Pour the wet mixture into the meat mixture and combine until just mixed. Do not overmix.

Transfer the meat mixture into a loaf pan and shape it into a loaf.

Spread 1/4 cup ketchup evenly on top of the meatloaf.

Bake in the preheated oven for 1 hour, or until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (70 °C).
