Lemon Garlic Shrimp Pasta with Fresh Herbs

Ingredients
Yields 4 servings
- (12 oz) spaghetti
- (1 lb) large shrimp, peeled and deveined
- (1/4 cups) olive oil
- (4 cloves) garlic, minced
- (1/2 tsp) red pepper flakes
- (1/2 cups) white wine
- (1) lemon, juiced and zested
- (1/4 cups) fresh parsley, chopped
- (1/4 cups) fresh basil, chopped
- Salt to taste
- Black pepper to taste
- Parmesan cheese, for serving

Cook 12 oz spaghetti according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside, reserving 1/2 cup of pasta water.

In a large skillet, heat 1/4 cup olive oil over medium heat. Add 4 cloves minced garlic and 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes, sautéing for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.

Add 1 lb large shrimp to the skillet. Cook for 3-4 minutes, stirring occasionally, until shrimp are pink and opaque.

Pour in 1/2 cup white wine and the juice and zest of 1 lemon. Simmer for 2-3 minutes until slightly reduced.

Add the cooked spaghetti to the skillet, tossing to combine. If the pasta seems dry, add reserved pasta water a little at a time until desired consistency is reached. Add 2/4 tsp red pepper flakes, 1/4 cup fresh basil, chopped, and Salt to taste.

Stir in 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley and 1/4 cup chopped fresh basil. Season with salt and black pepper to taste.
