  • (1 can) (15 oz) chickpeas, drained and rinsed
  • (1/4 cups) tahini
  • (2 tablespoons) olive oil
  • (2 tablespoons) lemon juice
  • (1 clove) garlic, minced
  • (1/2 teaspoons) ground cumin
  • (1/4 teaspoons) salt
  • (1/4 teaspoons) black pepper
  • (2 tablespoons) water
  • (1 tablespoon) chopped fresh parsley (for garnish)

Instructions

    In a food processor, combine 1 can (15 oz) chickpeas, drained and rinsed, 1/4 cup tahini, 2 tablespoons olive oil, 2 tablespoons lemon juice, 1 clove garlic (minced), 1/2 teaspoon ground cumin, 1/4 teaspoon salt, and 1/4 teaspoon black pepper.

    Blend until the mixture is smooth, scraping down the sides as needed.

    If the hummus is too thick, add 2 tablespoons of water and blend again until creamy.

    Taste and adjust seasoning if necessary, adding more salt or lemon juice as desired.

    Transfer the hummus to a serving bowl and drizzle with additional olive oil if desired.
