Ingredients
Yields 4 servings
- (4) salmon fillets (6 oz each)
- (1) bunch asparagus (about 1 lb)
- (1/4 cups) honey
- (3 tablespoons) soy sauce
- (2 cloves) garlic, minced
- (1 tablespoon) olive oil
- (1 teaspoon) sesame oil
- Salt, to taste
- Pepper, to taste
- (1 tablespoon) sesame seeds (optional)
- (2) green onions, sliced (for garnish)
Instructions
- 1
Preheat your oven to 400°F (200 °C).
- 2
In a small bowl, whisk together 1/4 cup honey, 3 tablespoons soy sauce, and 2 minced garlic cloves to create the glaze.
- 3
Place the salmon fillets on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- 4
Drizzle the honey garlic glaze over the salmon fillets, reserving some for later.
- 5
Trim the woody ends off the asparagus and arrange them around the salmon on the baking sheet. Drizzle with 1 tablespoon olive oil and season with salt and pepper.
- 6
Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until the salmon is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork, and the asparagus is tender.
- 7
In the last 5 minutes of baking, drizzle the remaining glaze over the salmon and asparagus for extra flavor.
- 8
Once done, remove from the oven and drizzle with 1 teaspoon sesame oil. Sprinkle with sesame seeds and sliced green onions for garnish before serving.
