Servings4

Yields 4 servings

  • (1 lb) beef sirloin, thinly sliced
  • (2 tbsp) soy sauce
  • (1 tbsp) oyster sauce
  • (2 tsp) cornstarch
  • (2 tbsp) vegetable oil
  • (2 cups) mixed bell peppers, sliced
  • (1 cup) broccoli florets
  • (1 medium) onion, sliced
  • (2 cloves) garlic, minced
  • (1/2 tsp) ground ginger
  • (1/4 tsp) black pepper
  • (1/4 cups) beef broth
  • (2 cups) cooked jasmine rice, for serving

Instructions

  1. 1

In a bowl, combine (1 lb) sliced beef sirloin, (2 tbsp) soy sauce, (1 tbsp) oyster sauce, and (2 tsp) cornstarch. Allow it to marinate while preparing the vegetables.

  2. 2

Heat (2 tbsp) vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat.

  3. 3

Add the marinated beef to the hot skillet and stir-fry for about 3-4 minutes until browned. Remove and set aside.

  4. 4

In the same skillet, add (2 cups) mixed bell peppers, (1 cup) broccoli florets, and (1 medium) sliced onion. Stir-fry for about 5 minutes until they are tender but still crisp.

  5. 5

Add (2 cloves) minced garlic and (1/2 tsp) ground ginger to the vegetables. Stir-fry for an additional minute until fragrant.

  6. 6

Return the cooked beef to the skillet with the vegetables. Pour in (1/4 cup) beef broth and (1/4 tsp) black pepper. Stir well to combine and cook for another 2-3 minutes until heated through.

  7. 7

Serve the beef and vegetable stir-fry over (2 cups) cooked jasmine rice.
