Homestyle Beef and Vegetable Stir-Fry

Ingredients
Yields 4 servings
- (1 lb) beef sirloin, thinly sliced
- (2 tbsp) soy sauce
- (1 tbsp) oyster sauce
- (2 tsp) cornstarch
- (2 tbsp) vegetable oil
- (2 cups) mixed bell peppers, sliced
- (1 cup) broccoli florets
- (1 medium) onion, sliced
- (2 cloves) garlic, minced
- (1/2 tsp) ground ginger
- (1/4 tsp) black pepper
- (1/4 cups) beef broth
- (2 cups) cooked jasmine rice, for serving
Instructions

In a bowl, combine (1 lb) sliced beef sirloin, (2 tbsp) soy sauce, (1 tbsp) oyster sauce, and (2 tsp) cornstarch. Allow it to marinate while preparing the vegetables.

Heat (2 tbsp) vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat.

Add the marinated beef to the hot skillet and stir-fry for about 3-4 minutes until browned. Remove and set aside.

In the same skillet, add (2 cups) mixed bell peppers, (1 cup) broccoli florets, and (1 medium) sliced onion. Stir-fry for about 5 minutes until they are tender but still crisp.

Add (2 cloves) minced garlic and (1/2 tsp) ground ginger to the vegetables. Stir-fry for an additional minute until fragrant.

Return the cooked beef to the skillet with the vegetables. Pour in (1/4 cup) beef broth and (1/4 tsp) black pepper. Stir well to combine and cook for another 2-3 minutes until heated through.

Serve the beef and vegetable stir-fry over (2 cups) cooked jasmine rice.
