Homemade Garlic Bread

Ingredients

- (1) loaf French bread
- (1/2 cups) unsalted butter, softened
- (4 cloves) garlic, minced
- (1/4 cups) fresh parsley, chopped
- (1/2 teaspoons) salt
- (1/4 teaspoons) black pepper
- (1/4 teaspoons) red pepper flakes (optional)

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190 °C).

In a mixing bowl, combine 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened, with 4 cloves garlic, minced, 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped, 1/2 teaspoon salt, 1/4 teaspoon black pepper, and 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (if using). Mix until well combined. Add 2/4 teaspoon salt and 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional).

Slice the loaf of French bread in half lengthwise.

Spread the garlic butter mixture evenly over the cut sides of the bread.

Wrap the bread halves in aluminum foil and place on a baking sheet.

Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, until the bread is warm and the butter is melted.

For a crispy top, remove the foil and broil for an additional 2-3 minutes, watching closely to avoid burning.
