Garlic Parmesan Roasted Brussels Sprouts on a baking sheet

  • (1 1/2 pounds) Brussels sprouts
  • (1/4 cups) olive oil
  • (4 cloves) garlic, minced
  • (1/2 cups) grated Parmesan cheese
  • (1 teaspoon) salt
  • (1/2 teaspoons) black pepper
  • (1/2 teaspoons) red pepper flakes (optional)
  • (1 tablespoon) lemon juice

    Preheat the oven to 425°F (220 °C).

    Trim and halve 1 1/2 pounds of Brussels sprouts and place them in a large bowl.

    In a small bowl, whisk together 1/4 cup of olive oil, 4 cloves of minced garlic, 1 teaspoon of salt, 1/2 teaspoon of black pepper, and 1/2 teaspoon of red pepper flakes if using.

    Pour the olive oil mixture over the Brussels sprouts and toss until they are evenly coated.

    Spread the Brussels sprouts on a baking sheet in a single layer.

    Roast in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, stirring halfway through, until they are golden brown and crispy.

    Remove from the oven and immediately sprinkle with 1/2 cup of grated Parmesan cheese and 1 tablespoon of lemon juice. Toss to combine.
