Garlic Butter Shrimp and Asparagus Skillet Dinner

Ingredients
Yields 4 servings
- (1 lb) shrimp, peeled and deveined
- (1 lb) asparagus, trimmed and cut into 2-inch pieces
- (4 tbsp) unsalted butter
- (4 cloves) garlic, minced
- (1/2 tsp) red pepper flakes
- (1/2 tsp) salt
- (1/4 tsp) black pepper
- (1) lemon, juiced
- (1/4 cups) fresh parsley, chopped

In a large skillet, melt 4 tablespoons of unsalted butter over medium heat.

Add 4 cloves of minced garlic and 1/2 teaspoon of red pepper flakes to the skillet. Sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.

Add 1 lb of shrimp to the skillet, season with 1/2 teaspoon of salt and 1/4 teaspoon of black pepper, and cook for 2-3 minutes until the shrimp are pink and opaque. Remove shrimp from the skillet and set aside. Add 2/4 tsp red pepper flakes, 2/4 tsp salt, and 1/4 tsp black pepper.

In the same skillet, add the trimmed and cut asparagus. Sauté for 4-5 minutes until tender but still crisp.

Return the cooked shrimp to the skillet with the asparagus. Pour in the juice of 1 lemon and toss everything together to combine.

Cook for an additional 1-2 minutes to heat through. Remove from heat and stir in 1/4 cup of chopped fresh parsley.
