Ingredients

- (1 cup) unsalted butter, softened
- (3/4 cups) granulated sugar
- (3/4 cups) brown sugar, packed
- (1 teaspoon) vanilla extract
- (2) large eggs
- (2 1/4 cups) all-purpose flour
- (1 teaspoon) baking soda
- (1/2 teaspoons) salt
- (2 cups) semi-sweet chocolate chips

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190 °C).

In a large mixing bowl, cream together 1 cup of softened unsalted butter, 3/4 cup of granulated sugar, and 3/4 cup of packed brown sugar until smooth.

Add 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract and 2 large eggs to the mixture, beating well until fully combined.

In a separate bowl, whisk together 2 1/4 cups of all-purpose flour, 1 teaspoon of baking soda, and 1/2 teaspoon of salt.

Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring until just combined.

Fold in 2 cups of semi-sweet chocolate chips until evenly distributed throughout the dough.

Drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto ungreased baking sheets, spacing them about 2 inches apart.

Bake in the preheated oven for 9-11 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden but the centers are still soft.
