- (4) medium ripe tomatoes
- (8 oz) fresh mozzarella cheese
- (1/2 cups) fresh basil leaves
- (1/4 cups) extra virgin olive oil
- (1/4 cups) balsamic glaze
- Salt to taste
- Black pepper to taste

Wash and slice the 4 medium ripe tomatoes into 1/4-inch thick slices.

Slice the 8 oz fresh mozzarella cheese into 1/4-inch thick slices.

On a large serving platter, alternate layers of sliced tomatoes and mozzarella cheese, overlapping them slightly.

Tuck 1/2 cup fresh basil leaves between the layers of tomatoes and mozzarella.

Drizzle 1/4 cup extra virgin olive oil evenly over the salad.

Drizzle 1/4 cup balsamic glaze over the top of the salad.

Sprinkle salt and black pepper to taste over the salad before serving.
