Bread Pudding

Ingredients
Yields 1 loaf
- (4 cups) cubed day-old bread
- (2 cups) milk
- (3) large eggs
- (3/4 cups) granulated sugar
- (1 teaspoon) vanilla extract
- (1 teaspoon) ground cinnamon
- (1/4 teaspoons) salt
- (1/2 cups) raisins (optional)
- (2 tablespoons) butter, melted

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175 °C).

In a large mixing bowl, combine 2 cups of milk, 3 large eggs, 3/4 cup granulated sugar, 1 teaspoon vanilla extract, 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon, and 1/4 teaspoon salt. Whisk until well combined.

Add 4 cups of cubed day-old bread to the mixture and gently fold until the bread is fully soaked.

If using, stir in 1/2 cup of raisins.

Pour the bread mixture into a greased 9x13 inch baking dish.

Drizzle 2 tablespoons of melted butter over the top of the bread pudding.

Bake in the preheated oven for 45-50 minutes, or until the pudding is set and the top is golden brown.
