Getting StartedWho can join the ByteRecipes affiliate program?+

Creators, publishers, and community builders who make cooking, meal planning, grocery, home organization, wellness, or family routine content can apply. Every affiliate must accept the affiliate terms before sharing links.

Getting StartedDo affiliates use a separate login?+

No. Your affiliate dashboard uses the same ByteRecipes account credentials as the rest of the app. If you are already signed in to ByteRecipes, use that same account for affiliate setup and reporting.

Getting StartedHow do I finish affiliate setup?+

Open the setup checklist, accept the affiliate terms, choose your public affiliate link slug, and connect Stripe for payouts. Your links can be shared after your public link is ready.

Getting StartedCan I change my affiliate link slug?+

Use the setup checklist to check and save an available slug. If you already promoted an older slug, update public links anywhere you shared it so future clicks use the current link.

Links & TrackingHow are referrals tracked?+

ByteRecipes uses referral links and last-click attribution within the configured referral window. Your `/r/your-slug` link records clicks, and campaign parameters help separate traffic sources in the dashboard.

Links & TrackingWhat is a campaign link?+

A campaign link adds a campaign label to your affiliate URL so you can compare sources such as TikTok bio, YouTube description, Instagram story, newsletter, or a seasonal promotion.

Links & TrackingCan I create links to specific pages?+

Yes. Use the dashboard deep-link generator to send people to pricing, recipes, creator pages, Explore, or other ByteRecipes paths while keeping your attribution attached.

Links & TrackingWhere should I send people first?+

Use the destination that best matches your content. Send people to pricing when you are discussing plans, a recipe page when you are showing a specific dish, Explore when you are recommending discovery, or your creator page when you want one simple landing page.

Links & TrackingCan I use UTM parameters with affiliate links?+

Yes. Campaign labels and standard marketing parameters can travel with affiliate links. Keep names simple and consistent so reporting stays easy to read.

Links & TrackingWhy does my dashboard show clicks but no paid conversions?+

Clicks are recorded when people visit through your link. Paid conversions only appear after a referred visitor signs up and purchases a qualifying ByteRecipes plan.

CommissionsHow much can affiliates earn?+

The standard tier is 30% recurring commission on qualifying subscription revenue for the configured commission window. Admins can manage tiers and operational overrides when needed.

CommissionsWhich purchases qualify for commission?+

Qualifying paid ByteRecipes subscriptions from tracked referrals can generate commissions. Free signups, unpaid accounts, test transactions, reversed payments, or disallowed referrals do not create payable commission.

CommissionsDo free signups count?+

Free signups may appear in dashboard reporting as referred accounts, but commission is tied to qualifying paid subscription revenue.

CommissionsWhat happens if a customer upgrades later?+

If the customer is still attributed to your affiliate link and the purchase qualifies under the program rules, a later paid subscription can be tracked as a paid conversion.

CommissionsWhat happens if a customer refunds or cancels?+

Refunds, disputes, chargebacks, or other reversals can reduce or reverse unpaid commissions. Cancellations stop future recurring commission because there is no future subscription revenue.

PayoutsWhen are commissions available for payout?+

Paid subscription commissions start as pending ledger rows and become available after the configured pending period. Refunds can reverse unpaid commissions before payout.

PayoutsWhy do I need to connect Stripe?+

Stripe handles payout account onboarding, identity verification, tax details, bank details, and transfer readiness. ByteRecipes cannot send affiliate payouts until Stripe marks the connected account as payout-ready.

PayoutsWhat happens if Stripe says setup is incomplete?+

Open Stripe setup again from the checklist. Stripe may need bank details, identity information, tax information, or verification documents before payouts can be enabled.

PayoutsWhere can I see payout status?+

Open the affiliate dashboard to review Stripe readiness, pending earnings, available earnings, paid earnings, recent conversions, and payout history.

PayoutsCan ByteRecipes change my bank account details?+

No. Bank and identity details are handled through Stripe onboarding. Use the Stripe setup flow from ByteRecipes if Stripe asks for updated payout information.

Promotion RulesWhere should I put disclosures?+

Place the disclosure near the affiliate link or spoken recommendation. The disclosure should be easy to notice before someone clicks or subscribes.

Promotion RulesWhat disclosure wording should I use?+

Use clear wording such as: This post may contain my ByteRecipes affiliate link. I may earn a commission if you subscribe. Adjust it for your platform, but keep the disclosure obvious.

Promotion RulesCan I promote ByteRecipes in paid ads?+

Only use paid promotion if it follows the affiliate terms, platform policies, and any brand restrictions. Avoid misleading claims, confusing domain names, or ads that impersonate ByteRecipes.

Promotion RulesCan I use ByteRecipes logos or screenshots?+

Use ByteRecipes assets and screenshots in ways that accurately represent the product. Do not imply employment, partnership approval, guaranteed results, or claims that ByteRecipes has not made.

Promotion RulesCan I offer coupons or bonuses?+

Only promote official ByteRecipes offers, promo codes, or bonuses you are authorized to use. Do not create fake discounts or imply that a discount exists when it does not.

Promotion RulesCan I refer myself or people in my household?+

Self-referrals, artificial referrals, and other attempts to create commission without genuine independent customer interest may be rejected under the affiliate terms.

TroubleshootingWhy is my affiliate link missing?+

Finish the setup checklist and save an available slug. Link builders and creator resources stay blocked until your public affiliate link is ready.

TroubleshootingWhy are payouts blocked?+

Payouts are blocked until Stripe onboarding is complete and Stripe marks the connected account as payout-ready. Your affiliate links can still work while payout setup is pending.

TroubleshootingWhy is a conversion missing?+

A missing conversion can happen if the visitor did not use your tracked link, another affiliate was the last click, the referral window expired, the purchase did not qualify, or the transaction is still processing.

TroubleshootingWhat should I do if my dashboard looks wrong?+

Refresh the page, confirm you are signed in with the same ByteRecipes account, and check your setup status. If the issue remains, contact ByteRecipes with your affiliate slug and the page or metric that looks wrong.
